Types of Membership

District Leader The Town is organized into 42 election districts, each represented by two District Leaders who form the first tier of membership. They vote on matters that come before the Committee and elect the Officers and Executive Committee. And they represent all the registered Democrats in their District at county Democratic conventions. District Leaders also help recruit new members and volunteers to support the election campaigns of candidates endorsed by the Committee

Associate Member If you are a registered Democrat who wants to become better informed about politics, issues and the workings of government, we encourage you to join the MPDC as an Associate Member. At our monthly committee meetings and other special events, you will meet candidates running for office and hear about topics of the day from a variety of speakers.

When opportunities arise to take action, you will be alerted with an e-bulletin. As a member, you will also be invited to work directly with individual candidates, in coordination with groups of MPDC volunteers. And you will meet - and make friends with - other people who share your social and political philosophy and want to be involved in helping to shape the future of our community.
